Interesting discussion on NicaLiving.com about what “Entertainment” is in Nicaragua as opposed to the States or elsewhere…

What does “Entertainment” Cost? | Nicaragua Living.

My post:

yes, entertainment comes in different forms…

I love watching chickens have their little community and enjoy watching them scratch and do their thing…

likewise unusual and beautiful birds that land on a tree branch just off of our corridor.

admiring the neighbor’s new cow (thank you gobierno :-)

which can lead to: catching up with the neighbors and finding out what the “chisme” is…

As far as US-style entertainment, we enjoy going to Galerias on Tuesdays and seeing first run movies for half-price. Two of us get in for I believe 96 cordobas or $4.20 US. They don’t charge exorbitant prices for popcorn either…

I have more opportunities to discover these simpler sorts of entertainments here due to the fact that I’m not running around busting a$$ working for corporate America anymore.
