This farm stay property, “Finca El Porton Verde,” is a unique small hotel offering in Nicaragua’s capital city of Managua. My Nicaraguan family and I work and live on a small (eight acre) organic permaculture farm located in the breezy hills south of Managua—overlooking Ticuantepe and Masaya, Nicaragua.
This listing is for one bedroom furnished apartment complete with kitchen, living/dining area and private bathroom. This apartment is best for two guests, but if a group of four wants to stay together we can put a queen-sized inflatable bed in the living area for an additional charge of $10 per person. This apartment is on the lower floor of the house on the pool deck level. There are 17 steps to go up and down the stairs, so this apartment is not handicap accessible. See our other listings for a one bedroom en-suite wheelchair accessible room. If you are looking for something more affordable, check out our two bunk bed rooms.
We at Farmstay El Portón Verde offer several different ways to book your room. One of our favorite ways is through AirBnB.com. The nice thing about AirBnB is that they offer free professional photography as part of being a host. This is nice for the hosts because you get certified photos so that guests know this is actually what our place looks like. And of course it is nice for our guests to know that they will actually be staying at the same place as the pictures!
