Why Stay at EPV?

Do any of these reasons sound like you?
You and your traveling companions:

  • Do not want to stay in a hotel in hot and dirty Managua, but need to be near there (for example, if you are flying in or out of the country, or doing business or missionary work) we are a great option for you.
  • Enjoy visiting a small eco-lodge bed and breakfast.
  • Like the idea of staying close to the popular touring spots of Granada, Masaya, the local beaches, etc. but being able to return at the end of the day to your small boutique inn with a beautiful private swimming pool.
  • Enjoy seeing fantastic jungle and volcano views.
  • Like the idea of staying at a working farm that uses sustainable ecological methods such as permaculture.
  • Are real mango fanatics! If you stay with us during the right time of year, we can guarantee you all the mangoes that you can eat!
  • Would like a “soft landing” upon arrival in Managua.  A friendly face picking you up and helping you to get oriented to this diverse and beautiful country is a big help, especially after a long day of travel!
  • Want to keep your Nicaragua experience during your whole vacation.  In other words, instead of a night in a hotel room in a chain hotel not much different from what is offered back home, your first or last days in Nicaragua can maintain the unique vibe that this country offers the traveler.
  • Are seriously considering relocating or retiring to Nicaragua and would benefit from learning from someone who has been there and done that.

  1. Can you provide transportation from the airport? Also can you arrange a taxi to Granada? We would possibly stay the night of November 14th and then again December 17th and 18th. We would be flying back to the states December 19th. We will be in Nicaragua for 5 weeks. Is there a restaurant in walking distance from your place? Do you have these nights available and if so what are the rates for a room with private bath? Thanks, Robert(Bob)

    • Greetings Robert:
Thank you for your inquiry about staying with us.
Yes, we provide airport transportation and we can arrange transport to Granada. You can read more about our area, including local dining options in our FAQ page, http://www.elportonverde.com/faq/

Suffice it to say that we are on a farm up in the hills south of Managua, so the immediate area has very limited options. In addition to a filling Nicaraguan-style breakfast included in the price of the room, we do offer both lunch and dinner here at the farm for a reasonable cost of $5 per meal per person. Just let us know in advance and we’ll have some healthy tasty meals ready for you!

We do have availability for your nights for $44 USD per night for our handicapped accessible en-suite room which has its own private bathroom. Please note this room is not on the pool level (our bunk bed rooms and our deluxe apartment are pool front). It is on the entry level (i.e. street level).

The other options are: deluxe apartment is $66 per night with its own kitchen, living, dining areas and private bathroom and the bunk bed rooms which share one bathroom cost $33 per night (prices for one or two persons).

I will email you directly so we can discuss further.

Hey reader, watcha think?
